Playing on Mondays or Tuesdays is a better option
Definitely works out better earlier in the week. We had a pretty good game too.

Booking Legends was Biggest Mistake
Couldn’t book the course we wanted so we booked moorland golf course and it was the biggest mistake. The customer service is soo bad and our tee-time was delayed over an hour – never again.

too crowded with a lot of drunk people
This resort is like Spring Break in College. I thinks it is all about drinking and not golf. It is overbooked and guys that had too much to drink. I brought my wife and she was really upset.

Over Booking and Cancelled us
Legends Resort has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced on a golf trip. We were a group of 6, set to stay in a villa on property. Arrived on Thursday only to be told we only were able to stay in our villa for one night and would have to pack up and leave the next morning. They said they “over booked” the resort that weekend and were hoping people would cancel but no one did. Apparently the “owners” of the villa we were in said they wanted to come up that weekend last minute. According to the manger, it’s their policy to honor the request of the owner. This is total bad practice if you ask me. There should be a minimum notice they should have to give in order to not screw over a guest who already had that villa booked for 7 months!
We did not have a place to stay Friday until almost 7pm after we spent all day on the golf course anxiously waiting to hear if we would have a new villa to stay in. Every time I stopped into the club house to check on where we were staying, they had no answer. I asked to meet with the reservations manager upon arrival and he refused to come down and speak with us. Standard practice on customer service is that if you screw up with your bookings, you could at least come down and apologize.
We were finally told we would have to stay in a hotel off the property. They did offer free transportation to and from the courses and the hotel room was covered but the inconvenience of being 30+min from the courses and not knowing where we would stay that night plus the condescending attitude and general rudeness from staff regarding our situation offset any of those accommodations.
If you think all this trouble might have warranted some discounts from our payment, think again. All we got was a measly $50 gift card to the pro shop for each person. That doesn’t even cover the price of a shirt there. And so we would have to spend additional money to even put the gift card to use.
My group was furious about what we were put through. They have completely sworn off coming back to this resort and I agree with them. 100% don’t recommend if you want to have a relaxing trip with good accommodations/service towards guests.
