10 Rounds in 5 Day Awesome

Just a little follow up on trip. Weather was a little cold first couple days last thread day really nice. No rain. Course in great shape. Had one small problem. Our afternoon tee time at Brunswick was moved back about 45 minutes and sprinklers came on at 7 and we had to be off course. We were on last hole. So not that big of deal except they changed our time and put us behind some locals who were terrible and didnโ€™t care they were holding up three groups and no ranger
And of course they got done. 10 rounds in 5 days another great week in M B. Hope to do again next year.

The best Vacation

Our accommodations were as advertised. Absolutely awesome! Wonderful house on a beautiful beach, great deck to enjoy the outside. We lost our hot water one day and we called to report the issue. After our golf game, there was still no hot water so I made a second call. Max, showed up. Turns out we had run out of propane and they had come and filled the wrong tank. Max got on the phone and made arrangements to get another delivery and called me while we were out for dinner to let me know we had our hot water back. Wonderful customer service. One minor issue we had was that one of our keys would only work on the deck side door. A bit annoying considering they have a digital lock and could just use an entry code.

The restaurants didnโ€™t seem to be quite as good as Calabash last year but were still pretty good. Our first night was at Hanser House and it was quite good.

Pawleys Island Tavern was pretty cool. Doesnโ€™t look like much but it is very eclectic. Live music outside, the inside is covered, walls and ceiling, with dollar bills, Quite interesting and the food was good as well. Some of the others we went to were The Claw house, Dead Dog Saloon, Quigleys Pint and Plate and did breakfast a couple of times at Eggs Up Grill, it was busy but good. I would recommend them all. Did a BBQ place one night that the name escapes me but it wasnโ€™t very good anyway.

As for the golf it was very enjoyable with a couple of courses that were really fun. On the drive home we rated all that we played out of ten.

Pawleys Plantation 8

Litchfield 5

Blackmoor 5. First time we played it, it was great but this time the greens were bad, cart paths needed work. Quite disappointing.

Palmetto 6

Founders 3

International 7

River Club 7

True Blue 8 Very different course but lots of fun.

Hope you find this useful. We had a great time. Hope all is well with you and look forward to speaking with you about our next trip.

Group really enjoyed staying in the Brunswick County Area

Our absolutely loved staying in this area. The golf and restaurants were great. We played Brunswick Golf Course steps away from our villa - very convenient. Also played thistle and sandpiper also very nice courses.

28th year at Myrtle Beach

We just completed a golf package in Pawleyโ€™s Island that was 4 nights and 5 courses for a total of 99 holes. Tee Links was very accomodating and easy to work with. The courses we played were River Club, True Blue, Pawleyโ€™s Plantation, Willbrook and Wachesaw East. We have played most all others in the area over the years and switch them up from year to year. The best, in our opinions, from this group are True Blue and Willbrook. River Club and Pawleyโ€™s Plantation are good but not quite as good as True Blue and Willbrook. True Blue is just spectacular visually though it can be tough so if you are a high handicapper or just play slow play some place else! Willbrook has a more classic feel with a true โ€˜southern swampโ€™ environment. It was fun to play and more forgiving than True Blue. We played Wachesaw East last because it was on our way out of Pawleys Island on the last day. It is a โ€˜communityโ€™ golf course but we were plesantly surprised. Great practice facilities. The tee boxes and cart paths are in need of work but the course design and greens lent to a pleasant round. We were one of the first groups out and were able to get 18 done in 4 hours. Considering most other courses in Pawleys takes a minimum of 4 1/2 hours this was great. Accomodations: This is the only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5. The villa in Litchfield we had was dirty (they had just put in new floors and dust was everywhere. Had to clean off the coffee machines to be able to read the screens. The TV and WIFI did not work โ€“ had to call maintenance. The single beds rolled around and were not all that comfortatble โ€“ like they went and purchased the cheapest frames and matteresses they could. Worse yet, we had 4 bedrooms for 8 guys. 2 of the bedrooms each had their own bathrooms. The other 2 bedrooms had to share one bathroom. One bath for 4 guys just does not work! Restaurants: Since one of our guys lives in that area he knows the restaurants well. The 4 we went to included Quigleys (good food but always crowded โ€“ get there early!), Cafe Piccilo (good italian food), Chive Blossom (loved this one!) and Bistro 217 (Would definitely go back!). Cafe Piccilo, Chive Blossom and Bistro 217 have entrees in the $25 โ€“ $40 range so if you are looking for โ€˜quick, cheap eatsโ€™ this is not for you but if you like great food and fantastic wine/beer selections you will enjoy. Area: The great thing about Pawleys Island is that everything is convenient. We did not have to go more than 3 โ€“ 6 miles to any course or restaurant. Again, thanks to Tee Times! it a great golf outing for us and she is aware of our dislike of the villa and will help us avoid the same next year.
