SouthCreek provides it’s own unique round of golf, distinctly different than the other Myrtle Beach National Courses. The 18-hole “South Creek” course at the Myrtle Beach National Golf Course facility in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina features 6,416 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.0 and it has a slope rating of 128 on Bermuda grass. Southcreek poses a fantastic test of your golf course management and accuracy. Set amongst coastal wetland and hardwood forest it is regarded as the “finesse” course of the three layouts at the National. The course is short from the whites, but does require some degree of accuracy off the tee. All aspects of course conditioning are good, though the greens to be an odd type of grass but nice. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The greens at the Southcreek course are the smallest out of the three courses housed within Myrtle Beach National. The fairways here are generally flat but the few mounded areas are a true test of skill. Look out for the looming trees which may stand in your way. Southcreek is simply the sweetest icing on a cake when it comes to golfing perfection. Had a fun time playing South Creek…course in good shape..greens were smooth and rolled with good pace. Lots of fun holes lots of par 4’s under 400 yards requiring accuracy not distance….warning – they run split tees…don’t think a morning time will help you beat the hackers…u wait on them at the turn.

My father in-law and I always play this course and it is pretty consistent. Nice pace and conditions and glad we got our trip in before the next storm.

Nice day of golf
We played this course mid week and my brother and I both enjoyed it was our first time in this area we usually play in north Myrtle but decided stay a little more central. The pace and layout were nice.

Good Condition After the Storm
I have played this course many times and we all enjoy it. I was concerned that hurricane Florence would put the course out of commission but I have to say pretty good condition. Thanks for the helpful feedback on condition of course.

South creek great condition in early september
The course is in a great location in central Myrtle Beach about 15 minutes from the resort we stayed in. My girlfriend, new to golf, loved the course, and found it to be a great experience. The course is great for men and women new to golf. We had lunch at the clubhouse. Really enjoyed it. The food was great and the staff was very friendly. We we’ll be looking forward to our return next year!
