Ladies will find a challenge from the Red Tees at 5,118 (70.3/128). Many fairways are tree lined, with ample landing areas off the tees. But trees aren’t all you’ll find out here; water comes into play on at least 11 holes, whether it’s a lake or wetlands. The green complexes are worthy of praise all on their own. Most of the greens are elevated with subtle undulations – and fast. It’s not uncommon to have a putt with at least two feet of break during your round. Some of the greens are multi-tiered, adding to the necessity of a good putting game. The bunkers are well manicured; often siting several feet below the green. TPC Course weaves Players through the forests of red oak and pine, around Lowcountry marshes and picturesque wetlands on fairways as plush as carpet. If you miss the fairway and you’re setting yourself up for a tough day; the mounding and swales that sit on the periphery make for some tough play.

Nice Course but Price of Food is High
The greens were FAST! It is a nice layout and was playable for both of us. We saw a gator which may have been the highlight for my son. We started on the 10th hole, but I wish we had started on one. 17 and 18 are great holes and would have been so much nicer to end on than 8 and 9. Pace of play was good. Was a little disappointed with the price of food…a soda and candy bar was $6!! Seriously??

Challenging Placement of Bunkers
Love the layout, challenging placement of bunkers, clean facilities, friendly staff. Play can sometimes be a little slow, but looking for wildlife is always fun…gators, turkeys, deer, turtles, heron. I just can’t get enough of it!!

Course was on Our Short List
We started coming to Myrtle Beach several years ago usually in the Summer Time. And TPC has been on our short list of must plays and finally got to play this summer. It was all of what we thought it would be and more. My husband and I loved it and might even play again before our vacation ends.
