The course rating is 70.4 and it has a slope rating of 119 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Dan F. Maples, ASGCA, the Wizard golf course opened in 1996. Tim Sautter manages the course as the General Manager.
The Wizard can be difficult for those who aren’t hitting it straight off the tee, but the greens are the toughest part. All other aspects of course conditioning were immaculate.

They are not maintaining the courses. Sand traps have grass and weeds in them. Grass not being cut in all areas. Clubhouse looks terrible. I don’t know if you are familiar with golf course management, but looking at the conditions of yesterday’s course, I would bet that they will close within two months. BTW, there are articles on the internet that mention them closing.

The Wizard
My group of 6 played the Wizard on July 3rd and it was in was in good condition. About half of the greens had been lightly plugged but they still putted true. Greens were a little slow but due to the extreme summer heat they have to leave them a little thick to keep them from burning up. This course is fairly flat and open. If your hitting the ball decent you can easily bring in some low scores. We got good pricing as always thru tee links. Our lunch and 2 drinks included made things easy at the turn as well. Thanks Debra for always taking my calls and helping me with pricing. Looking forward to playing in Myrtle Beach again sometime in March!

Nice package with the convenience of 3 courses on one resort with lunch and drink the boys loved it.
