True Blue opened in 1998 with rave reviews. The True Blue Golf resort has the perfect stay and play. Mike Strantz created True Blue to echo the characteristics of Pine Valley and Pinehurst #2. For his efforts at True Blue and Caledonia, Strantz was named “Architect of the Year” in 1998 by Golf World. True Blue is one of the most creative golf courses you’ll ever play and certainly one of the most artistic. Fairways, bunkers, and greens feature sweeping edges that rise and fall as if Stranz used his brush stroke to shape the terrain. Book a tee-time or get the best golf package.

played on a dry day
This was our first time in myrtle beach, I wish we had thought to get a yardage and tips booklet. Had a GPS, but it didn’t do justice in showing us important areas to hit to and away from — several holes we would have played totally differently with the benefit of more course knowledge (and several which led unexpectedly big scores on holes). We started on #10, an especially tough beginning hole if you have never played the course — even more so if it is wet! And, starting on the back nine exposes you to some tough sand conditions early in your round, before you have the chance to settle in. If you have your choice, ask to start on the front nine.
